i wasn’t expecting much from a strokes/eddie vedder/josh homme collaboration on a classic marvin gaye track (note to self - give perfect circle’s cover of “what’s going on” another try), but this isn’t actually too bad. loses it a bit at the end, but it could be a damn sight worse..

Ugh, I have always hated Eddie Vedder’s voice, and even though it sounds better here than usual, it’s such a stark contrast with Marvin Gaye’s, I just couldn’t bring myself to listen. The original is such a great song.
