rip, dfa - it was fun while it lasted.

i wasn’t expecting much from a strokes/eddie vedder/josh homme collaboration on a classic marvin gaye track (note to self - give perfect circle’s cover of “what’s going on” another try), but this isn’t actually too bad. loses it a bit at the end, but it could be a damn sight worse..

so there’s a new joanna newsom album out, this time with an orchestral accompaniment.. i’m still trying to get my head around it, honestly, but it’s certainly starting to grow, in much the same way as the milk-eyed mender did..

i’m so glad i found this.. yes, it is a blur cover. and here’s the decemberists covering mr blue sky, just because i love you.

suf’s first album was a fair bit different to michigan or illinoise, a little darker..
